Sculpting with light

This has been a crazy couple of months.
Here's a demo I did for my BYU class showing how to handle Lambert reflections in "sculpting" a character.

Like drawing the negative space. I love how many different ways there are to see.

More of these, please, and more art inspired by your wife's poetry. Peace and all good things for you in art and in life.

Sincerely,

Hi Sam,

I read a while ago what brush you used with modifications, but I couldn't remember. I know it's a pencil 2B in corel painter, but you modified it to blend better, correct?

Thank you everyone!

Anonymous: Do you remember how the brush was used? This was all done in photoshop, but I made a brush that is similar to my modified 2b pencil.
The 2b pencil modification in Painter I just change it to "Cover" instead of "Buildup" and make sure the subcategory is "Soft Cover."
