Needs salt, though.
Heh heh. He made me laugh. I love it. Hey I love that little bit of reflected sky in his brow!
Sam please tell me how you paint. Is it digital? What program(s) do you use? Painter IX? If so, what brushes do you use and how do you get such smooth gradients? I wan't to be a better painter but I don't understand how you do what you do. Any info or tips you could impart to me would help me immensely.your fan, cyree
Cyree: It's all digital in Painter 9. I used to do a "Tip of the Week" feature on the blog, and maybe it's time to start that up again.
That rabbit looks poised and ready to pounce! The red glow on the top of him is a great touch.
Please do Tip of the Week again!!! I need help man!
Cool! I really like the way you handled the rocks and snow buildups.
Double villian post, NICE!
Looks like he ate Punxsutawney Phil. And now he's basking in the knowledge that spring will never come.
Great color and expression on this piece. Very cool
Oh yeah... what a first image for me to see!Love it.
Spooky painting, good painting.
One might call impressive nonetheless being outstanding as you are!
Hi, first time visitor to your blog...fantastic work, amazing! Absolutely love the evil rabbit... he looks like he means business!
Thanks for all the kind comments everyone! This one was so fun to do it was a reward in itself, but it's really nice to hear that people like it as well.
Very cool Sam, and thanks for checking out my blog, I appreciate it!
Haha! so evil!
Hi it's me bugging you again because you love it.I read in an earlier blog something about how you were using the Ultrafine Wash brush ported over from Painter 6, it has "wash" in the name so I guessed it had to be a watercolor or digital watercolor brush but when I was messing with painter the other day trying to figure it out I couldn't get any brush/canvas combo that looked even slightly close to what you do (i mean besides the fact that my drawings suck but that is an entirely different problem).Could you just give me a couple more hints? I am very DIY, and if I could figure it out myself I would. Thanks in advance you are a nice guy okay thanks.
Great as usual! Looks like spring is his next victim.
Cyree: In the Stroke Designer: Dab type-CircularStroke Type-SingleMethod-CoverSubcategory-WhateverUnder size: pick the flat brush typeUnder Well:Resaturation: 6%Bleed: 17%Dryout: 22026That will give you something similar in effect. Another brush I use a lot is the oil pastels.
Thank you thank you! Paypal'ing you my soul this evening.May you win the lotto everytime you play.
ogod, he looks vicious! ROFLWMP!
DOPE man. You are quite a talent man. Love you stuff, beautifully painted.MAC
WICKED!! Love the character!
LOL.. heheh looks great and funny
I'm a complete novice and can only dream to be this good, but just wanted to let you know how great your character designs are. I'm just starting out on the $100,000 Animation Drawing Course, and it shows! If you get the time, maybe you could take a look at my efforts so far and give your opinion and any advice - I'd be very grateful.
